I was neither listened to, nor heard, by the doctor, who was dismissive of me.

The only constructive advice I have to offer is about the waiting rooms/reception areas. I couldn't concentrate trying to fill out my paperwork because of people talking loud enough to be heard across the room, and then the staff turned on the television to a Hallmark movie. Admittedly, I was pretty sensitive if not a bit anxious, and perhaps in the minority but I really wanted quiet and there wasn't an option besides asking others to have some self awareness. For what it's worth...and don't mean to be that guy.
