Dr. Christy Kellams is a double board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in the care of the hand, wrist and elbow. She treats patients of all ages, from children with injuries or congenital conditions to athletes recovering from sports injuries and seniors managing arthritis and staying active in retirement. Her goal is always the same: to help people get back to doing what they love, comfortably and confidently.
A former Division I basketball player at Arizona State University, Dr. Kellams understands the dedication it takes to overcome injury. She serves as the preferred upper extremity provider for the Indiana Fever, where she enjoys helping elite athletes recover and perform at their best.
Originally from a small town in Indiana, Dr. Kellams learned the value of hard work from her father, a mechanic. Growing up around tools sparked her love of working with her hands – a passion she now channels into restoring function and improving quality of life for her patients.
Dr. Kellams earned her medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine, completed her orthopedic surgery residency at Orlando Health in Florida and went on to complete fellowship training in hand and upper extremity surgery at Indiana Hand to Shoulder Center. She also has extensive experience in caring for work-related injuries, helping patients safely and efficiently return to their jobs and routines.
When she’s not in the clinic or operating room, Dr. Kellams enjoys spending time with her family and cheering on local sports teams.
