Dr. Michael Robertson is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon whose approach to care is shaped, in part, by his experience as an elite athlete. A track and field athlete who represented Team USA in the Olympics, Pan-Am Games and World Championships, Dr. Robertson has a deep understanding of how injuries affect not only the body but also confidence, mobility and quality of life. Whether patients are competitive athletes or simply want to stay active and pain-free, he is focused on helping them return to the activities they enjoy.

Before beginning his medical career, Dr. Robertson earned his undergraduate degree from Stanford University, where he was co-captain of the men’s track and field team. He graduated from medical school at the University of Arkansas and went on to complete an orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. During residency, he was recognized with both the Resident Citizen Award and the Alan E. Freeland Resident Research Award.

Dr. Robertson completed advanced fellowship training in orthopedic trauma surgery at the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.
