Dr. Abhi Seetharamis a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon who specializes in joint replacement, helping patients return to the activities they love with more comfort and confidence. He combines advanced training with a deep understanding of what leads to successful outcomes, both in and out of the operating room. From “straightforward” primary hip and knee replacements to the most complex revision procedures, Dr. Seetharam performs them all.
Dr. Seetharam is an active member of the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons (AAHKS) and its Young Arthroplasty Group, as well as the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. After earning his bachelor’s degree at Indiana University, he completed his medical degree and orthopedic surgery residency at IU School of Medicine and completed advanced fellowship training in adult reconstruction at the Rothman Orthopaedic Institute in Philadelphia.
Dr. Seetharam’s research in joint replacement follow-up and recovery has earned national recognition, including the AAHKS Clinical Research Award. He is the recipient of the George Alavanja Resident Award from IU’s Department of Orthopedics and an inductee of the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society.
When he’s not treating patients, Dr. Seetharam enjoys spending time with his wife, their two kids and two dogs. He also finds relaxation in gardening and golf when time allows.
