Meet Dr. Mark Osborne

Dr. Mark Osborne specializes in advanced non-surgical spine treatments designed to help alleviate pain, restore function and promote long-term spine health. As a fellowship-trained, board-certified non-operative spine physician, he is part of the team that has established OrthoIndy as a leader in both surgical and non-surgical spine care. Dr. Osborne adopts a holistic, patient-centered approach that emphasizes conservative treatment options, including innovative interventions, effective nonopioid medication management and injection therapy, to help many patients avoid surgery. However, if a surgical evaluation is necessary, he collaborates closely with the world-class spine surgeons at OrthoIndy to ensure that each patient’s individual needs are addressed.

Dr. Osborne earned his bachelor’s degrees in biology and psychology from Indiana University and attended medical school at Chicago Medical School, a school of Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science. He completed an internship at St. Joseph Hospital in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and a physical medicine and rehabilitation residency at the University of Colorado in Denver. He further advanced his expertise at the prestigious interventional spine fellowship at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.

Board-certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Dr. Osborne has received multiple awards, including being recognized as an Indianapolis Monthly Top Doctor. He is an active member of several professional associations, including the Spine Intervention Society, the North American Spine Society, the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and the Gold Humanism Honor Society.
