Dr. Highhouse received his bachelor’s degree from the University of South Florida. He graduated from the University of South Florida College of Medicine in 1991. He completed his residency in orthopedic surgery in 1991 at Michigan State University Kalamazoo Center for Medical Studies.

Dr. Highhouse is board-certified with the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons; the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society; the Indiana State Medical Association; the Tippecanoe County Medical Association; the Indiana Orthopaedic Society; and the Lafayette Medical Education Foundation
