I was disappoted in Dr Monesmith Ive had this pain in my "hip" for weeks .. maybe 2 months minimum. It has been getting worse. When I described the pain he said it was generated in my back.. .that known from todays xray He did a mini exam saying I might as well since yiur are here. He confirmed the diagnosis. He wrote an script for PT and told me some of it may be coming from weight.. Hip or knee I thought my wt was a factor He started to leave. I asked about some medicine... "?for what"he said. For pain. SId he couldnt ann I might give you cortisone later after Pt. .e Me; what about the pain now I asked. "Cant "he said. Wouldnt even offer a round of oral steroid. Its too painful to go to work or do much. The constant aching,/pain is very limiting. Im not a drug seeker..5 yrs since at the office All this and his always less than cordial/ non understanding, rush on to the next attitude Yes I did give him a hug for 3 well functioning joint replacements. Now is now.. his attitude ...much less than helpful. Disappointed
My experience with OrthoIndy was excellent. I arrived a few minutes early and was taken for preliminary x-rays almost immediately. I met with Dr. Monesmith shortly afterward, who treated me in a respectful and professional manner. He answered all my questions and gave me a treatment plan that was reasonable and easily implemented. Wes, a physical therapist, was amiable as he fitted my knee brace; he made sure I understood how to put on the brace and also provided written instructions. Each person I met-receptionist, x-ray technician, physical therapist and Dr. Monesmith- were all helpful and kind. I was in and out of the office within an hour; I call that excellent health care service. I have already sent a message to all my friends about the excellent care I received at OrthoIndy South.
Visit was delayed because they couldn't locate X-rays taken at another facility
